Breeding feminine device (Aparato reproductor femenino)

The breeding feminine device is the sexual feminine system. Together with the masculine one, he is one of the managers of guaranteeing the human reproduction. Both consist of the gonads (sexual organs where the gametes are formed and they produce the sexual hormones), the genital routes and the external genitalia.

Internal organs
Ovaries: they are the producing organs of feminine gametes or ovocitos, of size changed according to the cavity, and the age; unlike the testicles, they are placed in the abdominal cavity. The process of formation of the ova, or feminine gametes, calls ovulogénesis and is realized in a few cavities or follicles which walls are covered of cells that protect and nourish the ovum. Every follicle contains an alone ovum, which matures every 28 days, approximately. The ovulogénesis is periodic, unlike the espermatogénesis, which is constant.

Fallopian tubes: conduits of between 10 to 13 cm that communicate the ovaries with the uterus and have as function take the ovum up to him in order that the fertilization takes place. In rare occasions the embryo can develop in one of the horns, producing an ectopic pregnancy to him. The orifice of opening of the horn to the uterus calls ostium tubárico.
Uterus: hollow and muscular organ in the one that will develop the fetus. The interior wall of the uterus is the endometrium, which presents cyclical monthly changes related to the effect of hormones produced in the ovary, the oestrogens.
Vagina: it is the channel that he communicates with the exterior, conduit where they will enter the sperms. His function is to receive the penis during the coitus and to give exit to the baby during the childbirth.
